4 squares of Bakers semi-sweet chocolate melted 1/4c sweetened condensed milk 2c milk 1 tub of Cool Whip 2 pkgs chocolate pudding (any brand) 1/2c pecans/walnuts (nut of choice) 1 pie crust (make your own or use your favourite pre-made)
1. Mix melted chocolate and condensed milk, pour on crust and sprinkle with nuts (you can push the nuts into the chocolate if you want). 2. Whisk milk and pudding mix, spoon 1 1/2c over nuts; mix half of Cool Whip with remaining pudding and layer it on top of plain pudding. 3. Top with remaining Cool Whip and refrigerate 3 hours or until eating.
You can add nuts to the top if you wish, don't use too much condensed milk because the chocolate bottom harder.
1. Bakers is just a brand of baking chocolates, 4 squares of any semi-sweet chocolate will do, you just don't want sweet chocolate. 2. Cool Whip is like whipped cream in a tub, it is a bit lighter, I have found that a UK equivalent is Dream Whip but if all else fails you could use whipped cream or make you own with whipping cream, I would use less than the recipe says if you use either of those. 3. Any kind of chocolate pudding will do you it doesn't matter what brand.
I find the differences strange between our 2 societies, quite amusing too, the word jello just dosn't exist here, the others I realised where more brand names, but so many differences when we are so alike, so close...
