This is for ^hellfirediva's Detail in Macro contest, more info can be found here: [link]

All of the exif data can be found to the side of the image --->

This was done with a hand held Nikon D40 with the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro Lens attached and set at 1:1.

Levels and colours slightly adjusted in PS and a bit of the bottom was cropped off.

Beautiful detail, the clarity of the shot is stunning. This would make a nice print too I think (Redbubble...)

It is on the Bubble: [link]

I wish I had a dA print account because you get so much more variety in sizes and things like magnets and mugs.

Ah, very true. However, dA takes half of your profits even with a premium account...dilemma. To sell a greater variety or to earn more money... Do you recommend redbubble? I'm thinking of joining

I think half isn't too bad considering how many more people view my work here compared to redbubble. I like redbubble but you don't get a lot of print size options and you need to have enough time to pimp your work there as well.

And time isn't something that grows on trees really...I guess you could expose your work on dA and then sell through Redbubble...alerting people to your print selection in journals. But, as you said, the size choices are sub-par. I don't know. Sell through both and compromise, I guess

Yeah I only have one size with most of my shots there and that is there 'small' yet on dA I can get up to 16x24" on some.

The choice is far better, I must say...

What would you recommend? Both dA and Redbubble perhaps?
